PEAT BUSINESS IS A BAROMETER AT HOME PLATE FOR ROSA ROSARIO. When she sees costumers come back, Rosa knows she has it right. Rosa has owned several restaurants from New York City to Lancaster, so when she wanted to open a new one in Lancaster she received wide support from the community. The initial investment came from friends and family, and later expansions were financed by Community First Fund.
Home Plate holds the distinction of being the first and only Lancaster area Hispanic restaurant to possess it’s own facility with Rosa’s husband owning the building. Along with renovations, the couple plan to create a multi-use building with apartments behind.
After two years in business, Home Plate is slowly settling into Rosa’s original vision. The already fresh and inviting atmosphere becomes even more alive with Rosa’s personal warmth and good cooking. Home Plate provides a wide array of Hispanic cuisine and offers catering for any palate.
