Kharran Cattell & Cheryl Young

Expressly Local Food, Lancaster City

$22,000 loan

E VERY DAY IS A DAY AT THE MARKET.

Formally operating at Lititz Farmers Market and Eastern Market in Lancaster City, owners Kharran Cattel and Cheryl Young have moved their food stand to a more permanent home in Lancaster City. In need of financing to renovate their property and acquire equipment, they turned to Community First Fund. Located on West King Street, Expressly Local Food offers products such as their main attraction, raw milk and other locally grown produce. With the opening of their new store, the fresh and neighborhood familiar products are offered year round. Their store is filled with all local products, some of which you might find at the Lancaster’s Eastern Market.

Expressly Local Food believes in a healthier choice of products at affordable prices. Aside from groceries, they also offer items such as organic creams to rejuvenate the skin. In the future they hope to have the opportunity to help other woman business ventures, aiding in the growth of Lancaster. Kharran and Cheryl are big believers in everything local and want to see the area prosper. They already have a large following with people traveling from outside the city to get their hands on their products.
