AmeriCorps VISTA Program

Build your Community! Community First Fund will be accepting VISTA applications in spring 2010 for positions in our Lancaster, York and Reading offices.  One-year terms will begin in the summer of 2010.  VISTA members must be team players and committed to assisting those facing economic barriers. VISTA members will be an integral part of our five-year strategic plan for growth and development.

Project areas in which VISTAS could work at Community First Fund include:

• Financial analysis and management

• Business development in lower income communities including outreach to new and existing clients

• Loan portfolio risk management

• Training and outreach for Women’s Business Center

• Development of new marketing and fundraising methods and materials

AmeriCorps VISTA provides a monthly living allowance and paid health insurance. Community First Fund assists with finding affordable housing costs and reimburses for all as local travel expenses related to work.
